Do I need any equipment to get started?

No. TraceAir is a fully managed, turnkey service. We handle the flights, data capture, processing, and hosting.

Can I get started with one project?

Yes. TraceAir is committed to proving ROI on any project, at any phase.

Is my project the right size for TraceAir?

TraceAir supports projects of all sizes. We’ve serviced everything from small infill sites to some of the largest residential projects in the U.S., and we’ll tailor the scope, scan frequency, and tools to fit your specific site and goals.

Does TraceAir work with my surveyor?

Yes. TraceAir works seamlessly with your existing surveyors and consultants. We coordinate directly with them to collect and integrate any required files, so all of your survey data, maps, and site intelligence live together in one platform.

Who can access the scans/project?

TraceAir offers unlimited users access to your projects. We encourage you to add corporate stakeholders, subcontractors, your acquisition, development, and vertical teams, as well as sales & marketing to give everyone access to real time site intelligence.

What is the difference between LiDAR and Photogrammetry Scans?

LiDAR uses lasers to create precise 3D models, capturing highly accurate elevation and terrain, even through vegetation.
Photogrammetry uses aerial imagery to build detailed, color-rich models but can struggle in dense foliage or low-contrast areas.

What is the turnaround time?

Scan data is typically available within 24 hours of the flight taking place.

For surveying services coordinated through TraceAir Surveying:
* On-demand topographic surveys are delivered in approximately 7-10 business days.
* Certified ALTA surveys are delivered in approximately 12-15 business days.

Surveying services are only available in California, North Carolina, Florida, and Nevada. Surveys are performed in conjunction with a state-licensed surveyor partner.

Do you offer bundled pricing for TraceWalk and Layout Generator?

Yes. TraceAir is committed to supporting your team across the entire development lifecycle— from land acquisition through construction and HOA turnover. Custom packaging, including enterprise options, are available.

Is scan data available after project completion?

Yes. Scan data is available after the last scan date for historical reference, documentation, and future use. After a complimentary access period, you can continue to access your project data for as long as you’d like through a nominal post-project data subscription.
